I have been painting in watercolours for the last five years, supported until recently by an excellent tutor. I am hooked! After my father, a very talented watercolour artist, died, I decided to take up painting myself as a tribute to his memory. I love the ‘buzz’ that certain colours, texture and form give back to me. There must be something in a painting that excites my senses - a ‘wow, I love that part’ feeling!
I have sold many paintings, including as part of exhibitions in London, Salisbury, Middle Wallop and Cholderton. I also have work in the Waitrose cafe and farm shop near Stockbridge, Hampshire and will be exhibiting in the 'Picture This' gallery in Bournemouth later in 2021. I am happy to discuss commissions and have been asked to paint favourite scenes, dogs, cats and bats (!) to date. I enjoy the challenge of different subjects and work from my own photographs whenever possible. Animals, birds, portraits, boats and the sea are my current favourite things to paint!

I love the touches of metallic paint in this picture of winter leaves. When leaves are old and brown on the ground, we dont pay them much attention – but they can be beautiful when you look closely. The frame complements the mood and colour to make this one of my favourite paintings. I keep…
